We offer an online portal where clients can view their buildings utility performance as well as current and historic transactions. The web-enabled portal provides easy access to your processed utilities and energy management information. Approved users of the relevant properties can view listed information, consumption data and billing data on the customer service portal.

MAINTENANCE SERVICES

GENERAL

What must I do when I vacate my premises?
You need to complete a vacating form 14 days prior to vacating the leased premises. Clearly
state the termination date and submit to our office. This form is available online on our
website.

Under which circumstances may ICR Utility Management disconnect your electricity supply?

Failure to complete and submit an application form
Failure to settle the risk deposit in full
Failure to settle utility account in full, on or before the due date
Tampering with metered supply

PAYMENTS

When is my account due for payment?

On the 18th of each month
Any payment made on the due date may only reflect after two working days
Confirm payment by sending proof of payment to accounts@icrutility.co.za
Interest will be levied on overdue accounts
An administration charge will be levied for incorrect electronic reference
number used

DEPOSIT

Do I need to pay a risk deposit and why ?
Yes, Utility charges are levied in arrears; therefore, a risk deposit is payable before connection of the utility supply.

Deposits will be revised annually

When will my deposit be refunded?
The deposit will appropriate against the final account, and the balance will be refunded within 45 working days. Banking details must be confirmed in writing on the vacating form.

TARIFFS

Tariff structures in accordance with the local supply authority, as approved by the Regulatory Authority.

TRADE EFFLUENT

Trade effluent is any effluent that is produced from a process or activity undertaken at premises that are used to carry out a trade or industry. However, it does not include domestic sewage, for example, used water from hand washing and flushing toilets. Trade effluent is produced from the manufacturing processes associated with many everyday items and through activities that many of us enjoy. These include:

Food and drink production
Chemical manufacturing
Engineering
Swimming pools and leisure centers
Laundries
Vehicle washing

DEFINITIONS

kWh
A kilowatt-hour is equal to the amount of energy used by a load of one kilowatt over a period of one hour. Energy delivered by electric utility service providers is usually expressed and charged for in kilowatt hours.

Maximum Demand -(measured in kVA)
Kilovolt ampere is a unit of electrical power in AC circuit equal to the power dissipated when 1 volt produces a current of 1 ampere. A maximum demand tariff shall be applicable to the consumer with supply capacities exceeding a specific maximum kVA (e.g. 100kVA) as determined by local supply authority.

Local Supply Authority
A regional government organization responsible for delivery and management of utility services i.e. council or municipality.

Energy Charge
A fixed time and or seasonally differentiated charged linked to each kWh (unit of energy) consumed.

Service Charge
A fixed charge payable per premises every month whether electricity is consumed or not, and which forms part of the supply authority tariff structure.

Network Charge
A fixed charge payable per premises every month whether electricity is consumed or not.

Basic Charge
A fixed monthly charge payable whether electricity is consumed or not. It is determined by the rating of the consumers’ incoming breaker, which forms part of the supply authority tariff structure.

Reactive Energy Charge
This charge is applicable to time-of-use and is levied on every kVAR which is registered in excess of 30% of the kWh supplied during the specific period of the month.
